If you want to start creating a new team in Microsoft Teams, try a template. A template gives you a great way to get the channels you need and the apps you want while saving a few steps.

How to create a team using a template
Open Microsoft Teams on your desktop or sign in to the Teams website and select Teams on the left side. In the right panel, go down and click on Join or create a team. If you are on the Manage Teams screen, you can also click the Create a team top button.
In the pop-up window, choose a template from the section at the bottom. You will see the model names with brief descriptions.
You will then see the channels that came with the template and any recommended apps for the particular topic. While this Is automatically create the channels, it does not automatically install apps. Visit the apps section of Teams to access a recommended app. Note that you may not have access to apps, depending on your permission policy.
Click on following.
Then decide if you want a public Where Private team. If you want everyone in your organization to be able to participate, choose Public. But if you want to restrict team members, choose Private.
Give your team and your name and optionally include a description. Then expand Customize Channels at the bottom to view or edit the channels that will be created. The general channel is there by default for each team and cannot be changed. But you can change the names of other channels if you want.
Hit it To create and you will see a message that your team is being set up. You can Close this window and keep working because you will be notified when your new team is ready. It should only take a few minutes.

Once your new team is ready, you will see it listed in the Teams section with its channels.
