In China, the company launched the iQOO 8 series as its latest flagship. It looks like iQOO is currently working on launching a budget smartphone. The company may update its U series very soon. iQOO U5 is the next budget smartphone from the Vivo sub-brand. It was spotted on the 3C website with the model number V2165A. The listing on 3C confirms the charge details of the device. The iQOO U5 will support 18W fast charging according to list 3C. This is the only detail revealed via the certification site. The phone was recently spotted in the IMEI database with the same model number, which confirmed the nickname.

Rumor has it that the device will launch in December in China, according to some rumors on the web. iQOO has yet to announce the official launch date for its next U-series smartphone as of this writing.

The device could have a 5G processor under the hood, which could be the SoC Dimensity 810. We speculate this based on the specifications of the iQOO U3, which featured a SoC Dimensity 800U. The U5 could also feature a 90Hz IPS LCD display and sport a two or three camera setup on the back. Other expected specs include up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, and more.
