Job offer Media and Corporate Communication at PSNC

0

Are you passionate about community pharmacy and experienced in communication? If so, we would love to hear from you as we advocate for this essential part of primary care.

PSNC is looking to recruit a Head of Media and Corporate Communications within our Communications and Public Affairs Department.

The incumbent will help us champion the cause of community pharmacy in the national media, while looking after our corporate communications and brand. Typical duties will include writing articles, press releases, commentaries and briefings and to help achieve impactful and persuasive coverage of community pharmacy in the national press, as well as reviewing how PSNC communicates with the pharmacies we represent.

This is a new role to support our busy communications function (we send newsletters almost daily to our over 18,000 subscribers, and welcome some 8,000 people to our website daily). This comes at a critical time for community pharmacy as PSNC works hard to gain increased recognition and funding for pharmacies, and ahead of our upcoming name change to Community Pharmacy England.

We are looking for someone with a track record of managing national media relations to deliver impactful coverage or managing successful communications on major corporate programs. We look forward to hearing from candidates who have experience managing a brand’s voice and who will be confident to answer questions from the media. They must be highly skilled in writing press releases and have experience working to tight deadlines in a pressured environment. As well as being willing to roll up their sleeves and deliver day to day, they will have an eye on the big picture and be able to maintain a cohesive narrative for external stakeholders.

Type of employment: Permanent, full time (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week)

Location: Hybrid work (distance/central London).

Salary: Around £45,000, depending on experience
